Charged With Theft?

Contact Our Duluth Law Firm and Take Control of Your Situation.

Many charged with a theft crime for the first time in Georgia are often productive and responsible citizens who just got carried away once and committed a poor mistake. As such, they often deserve a chance to rectify rather than receiving conviction, imprisonment and the social stigma attached with being convicted of a theft crime.

People may also be wrongly accused or charged with theft on the ground of false or misleading evidence. Attorney Isaac F. Cotto is here to help those accused of theft crimes such as:

  • Burglary
  • Grand theft
  • Petty theft
  • Grand theft firearm
  • Grand theft auto
  • Identity theft
  • Embezzlement
  • Auto burglary

Protect yourself and contact our law firm today to obtain a criminal defense lawyer!

A theft conviction can harm a person in many ways, especially in gaining future employment. The record will appear on background checks and most companies will be wary of hiring a person with a theft crime conviction history, no matter the job competence or expertise of the individual in question.

In addition, these crimes are seen as “moral turpitude crimes,’ which means that the convicted person stands the chance of being denied of certifications and licenses such as a real estate, nursing or a contractor’s license.

Did you know?

Even if the prosecutor is armed with strong evidence against you, Mr. Cotto may still be able to reduce or dismiss the theft charges brought against you, especially if you have no prior record of theft or any felony conviction. Mr. Cotto may conduct a hearing with the judge and the prosecutor and convince them to drop the case in exchange for community service, repayment and joining theft counseling.
